Musicaltitude : La Belle Hélène

From Wednesday 10 August 2011 to Saturday 13 August 2011

This summer, the city of Chamonix, Raphaëlle Farman and Jacques Gay present a festival on the theme of music and humour. Raphaëlle Farman and Jacques Gay decided to create a festival of music and humour with Chamonix for two reasons.

Firstly, these two artists' love for Chamonix and the fact that the Farman family has been living in the valley since 1907.

Secondly, the fact that these two artists - both international opera singers - decided some years ago to create extremely humorous shows for the general public on the theme of operas, operettas and musicals. Their three years of success in Paris in "Les Aventures de la Diva et du Toréador", and also in various shows in provincial areas of France and abroad gave them the idea of involving choirs and musicians of Chamonix in this project of a joyous people's festival, while still ensuring high musical quality.

For Raphaëlle Farman and Jacques Gay, working with all generations of people in the valley to produce shows for everyone (Chamonix's permanent and part-time residents, as well as tourists) is a guarantee of success and pleasure.
